Spring Vintage Watercolor Alphabet Flashcards: a free download to print at home.

I love decorating for any holiday, which is one of the main reasons I opened Simply Styled Season. I also have a special place in my heart for vintage holiday decor. I love to add the whimsy and nostalgia of vintage around my home. Today I have a printable to share that will take you back to childhood... ABC style flashcards. I scoured the web for public domain vintage illustrations, cleaned up the images, removed backgrounds, and created a 5 x 3 flashcard template. I like adding my own touch to things, so I hand-painted the printed cards with watercolor and an antique finish.
If you also like adding your own flair, no worries; you can download a black-and-white version and the antique watercolor.

Supplies:

  • Free Printable

  • Printer

  • Heavy Weight Paper or Card Stock

  • Scissors

  • Whole Punch or Clips

  • Jute, Ribbon, or Twine

Instructions:

  1. Download - Save - Print the free flashcard template.

  2. Cut out each card you would like to display.

  3. If using the black and white version, it is time to decorate the cards. If you are using the antique watercolor set, you are all done.

  4. The completed flashcards can be clipped to a jute string, or you can use a whole punch to loop the twine through or display just the cards.

This is a quick and simple project to add a subtle vintage touch to your spring decor.
